Barański is a company with a rich tradition. Our business has its roots in “classic” carpentry and upholds the finest standards of the trade. At the same time, we are mindful of evolving standards, which is why we strive to continuously develop and refine our designs. We monitor trends and analyze customer expectations so that we can deliver products that we can confidently count among the best on the market.
EU funds help us grow our business. They enable us both to create innovative solutions closely tied to our core business and to adapt our company’s infrastructure to the requirements of eco-friendly design and construction. This is particularly valuable to us because, as a company with roots in the green region of Masuria, we have always considered the well-being of nature to be one of our core values. EU funds also help us maintain financial stability and secure jobs during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are the areas in which European funds have helped us grow our business:
Smart Development

Our new project: innovative interior doors with unique specifications
Under the 2014–2020 funding period, we received 6,336,000 PLN in EU funding for a project with a total value of 16,848,540 PLN. The funds were awarded under the Smart Growth Operational Program for activities supporting the implementation of research and development (R&D) results.
The project aims to bring an innovative product to market: improved interior doors with unique specifications. This is the result of our research and development work, conducted both independently and in collaboration with subcontractors.
We have protected our innovative technology with patent application No. P.413216, concerning an invention titled “Method for manufacturing an interior door leaf with enhanced performance characteristics.”
Why did we decide to work on innovations in this area in the first place? There were three key reasons:
- conversations with our current customers and listening to their expectations,
- discussions with our sales representatives, who track market trends,
- observations of the door and window industry, which is heavily dependent on the construction sector.
In this way, we gathered information that served as the impetus to begin R&D work on a new solution. The new product will be introduced to the rapidly growing window and door industry and will help solidify our brand’s position.
We conduct our research and development work in our new Optimo facility
The innovation of our project is based primarily on a unique design and carefully selected raw materials, which ensure the doors’ mechanical strength. Thanks to these factors, Barański’s new product will stand out even among the best competitive solutions on the European market in terms of:
- resistance to changing climatic conditions,
- reduced weight.
Proper project execution and the implementation of R&D results require investment in the construction of a production facility, as well as the purchase of specialized machinery and materials necessary for door production. Without support from EU funds, completing this project would be significantly more difficult.
Photovoltaics

We are committed to renewable energy. Thanks to EU grants, we built a photovoltaic power plant
Funding from the European Union also enabled us to build a photovoltaic power plant. This project is close to our hearts because it brings tangible benefits to the environment. The widespread adoption of renewable energy sources significantly contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and harmful substances released during the production of electricity from fossil fuels.
The full name of the project is: “Construction of a 910-kW photovoltaic power plant and the necessary electrical equipment in the village of Babięty Wielkie.” We received 3,688,620.38 PLN in EU funding for its implementation. This amounts to more than half of the project’s total cost, which was 6,913,011.69 PLN.
Thanks to the photovoltaic power plant, we are reducing greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to environmental protection
The photovoltaic installations were built on a plot of land in Babięty Wielkie, in the municipality of Susz. Work began on April 22, 2019, and was completed on June 30, 2020. Thanks to the photovoltaic power plant, Barański has not only gained additional capacity to generate electricity from an eco-friendly source with a capacity of 910 kW, but also contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 318,814 mg annually.
Eastern Poland Operational Program

We are growing and creating jobs thanks to EU funding
EU funds have also helped us secure our financial liquidity and supported our ongoing operations during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic. We received funding in the amount of 385,735.80 PLN from the European Regional Development Fund. The funds were awarded under the Eastern Poland Operational Program, Measure 1.5: Grants for Working Capital.
EU funds helped secure our financial liquidity and preserve jobs at our company
We benefited from the grant not only as a Polish company but also as the employees and individuals who make up the company. The pandemic has put many businesses at risk and led to job cuts nationwide. We consider it a success that, thanks to Barański’s strong financial position and support from public funds, we are able to operate efficiently in the market and compete with the best European companies in the industry.
Innovative technology for manufacturing exterior doors
DOOR MANUFACTURER “BARAŃSKI” General Partnership (Ignacy Barański and Zbigniew Barański) is implementing a project co-financed by European Funds titled “Innovative technology for the production of exterior wooden doors improving the performance characteristics of the finished product”

The goal of the project is to implement the company’s own new technology and, based on it, to launch the production of exterior wooden doors that are significantly improved compared to those currently manufactured in the Republic of Poland.
