We designed Barański Smart doors with safety as our top priority. They provide the highest level of protection against—depending on the model—break-ins or fires. However, Barański Smart doors are refined not only in terms of functionality and technology, but also in terms of aesthetics. Additionally, for customers who place a high value on design, we offer decorative panels specifically designed for models from the Smart collection.
This is a popular solution used in both hotels and modern residential developments. The panels visually enlarge the surface area of the door and door frame, while adding a touch of design flair to the entire structure and enhancing the aesthetics of the surrounding space. For doors from the Barański Smart collection, we offer three types of panels:
- panels for adjustable door frames,
- panel strips for the PLUS adjustable door frame,
- wall-mounted panels.
Panels for adjustable trim – a simple way to create an attractive door frame
Trims are strips attached to a fixed door frame to cover the gap between the frame and the wall. They serve both a functional (concealing) and aesthetic purpose, which can be “enhanced” with panels mounted on the side or top. Panels for adjustable trim strips can be used with both fixed door frames featuring an adjustable trim strip on the exterior side and adjustable door frames.
In both variants, the panel width is 21 cm, and its length is customized to fit the specific door. The width of the standard trim, on the other hand, is 7 cm. The combination of both elements creates a cohesive whole with a width of 28 cm. With the right color scheme, the visual effect can be outstanding.
Panels for door frames serve primarily an aesthetic purpose, but they can also be used in other ways. For example, building managers—such as those in hotels or residential buildings—use them to display apartment or room numbers. This is also an aesthetically pleasing solution.
Importantly, you don’t have to decide on the panel right away when purchasing the door. It is a separate, optional component that can always be ordered later and fitted to the door frame after installation.

Panel strips for the PLUS adjustable door frame work great in a two-tone design
This is a slightly more advanced option. It is designed for the PLUS adjustable door frame, which features a 10-cm-wide trim strip on the exterior side (e.g., a hotel hallway or a stairwell in an apartment building). This element alone, which is an integral part of the PLUS set, creates an interesting visual effect. The use of a panel trim further enhances the aesthetic appeal of the door or window frame.
In this way, you can widen each part of the door frame trim—the top, left side, and right side—to 15, 20, or 30 cm in width, respectively. This “modification” can be applied independently to each of these parts. In other words, it is not necessary to install panel trim on all parts of the door frame—you can choose to add this element to just one or two parts. This allows you to better customize the door frame to suit both your personal preferences and the aesthetics of the interior or a specific wall. The final result can be truly outstanding.
It’s worth noting that the panel trim pieces form an integral whole with the door frame trim. Therefore, there are no visible joints between them that could detract from the visual effect. This is a huge advantage of this solution.
A popular option that further enhances the appeal of the entire design is the use of two colors. For example, black trim strips complement a door panel finished with films that mimic rustic oak. This is a combination that customers often choose. When paired with black accessories—such as the door handle, peephole, or door inserts—the entire design makes a striking impression.

Wall panels help enhance the interior’s aesthetics
The use of panels isn’t limited to extending the door frame trim. They can also be used on other building elements, independent of the door. In modern apartment buildings, they are often installed on the walls surrounding the elevator entrance or on other interior elements, such as cabinets that conceal utility meters.
Even in such applications, it’s important to ensure that the wall panels visually match the finishes of the building’s exterior doors. This is a way to achieve an aesthetically pleasing visual effect and create a welcoming atmosphere in a given interior, such as a hallway or stairwell.
