FAQ
The warranty period is 24 months from the date of purchase shown on the sales invoice or receipt.
The warranty covers physical defects in the product that were not visible at the time of purchase and that became apparent during the warranty period. Obvious defects (such as dimensional defects) must be reported before installation begins; otherwise, there is a risk that the claim will not be accepted.
You must have a properly completed warranty card, which the seller should provide at the time of installation, as well as proof of purchase in the form of an invoice or receipt.
Contact the seller—that is, the store that sold you the door and whose information appears on the invoice or receipt. As our partner, the retailer has already determined with Barański Drzwi at what stage the defect occurred and how the problem will be resolved. Therefore, the retailer will also provide you with all information regarding the status of your claim.
Warranty claims are always processed within 14 days of the date the claim is received, but in the vast majority of cases, 48 hours is sufficient. We consider the date the sales showroom submits the claim to Barański Drzwi to be the date of receipt. Depending on the severity of the defect, repairs can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks.
In the case of exterior doors, absolutely—after all, you have to lock the house somehow. As the name suggests, replacement doors are installed only for the duration of the repair and will not match the design or color of the doors you originally ordered.
Let’s remember that Barański Premium wooden doors are finished with wood veneers. We always strive to select the materials we use to craft our doors in a way that achieves the best possible visual results. However, wood is a natural material with unique characteristics over which we often have no control. Breaks in the symmetry of the grain or slight color variations between individual door components (resulting from differences in how well the paint is absorbed by specific parts of the wood) cannot therefore serve as grounds for a complaint. The beauty of wood lies precisely in the fact that it is unique and sometimes unpredictable.
Improper use, incorrect installation, or mechanical tampering with the product may void the warranty. The most common causes we encounter include: lack of a door canopy (for exterior doors), installing the door before wet work inside the building is completed, or a lack of adequate ventilation in the rooms (if you install the door immediately after wet work is completed, remember to ventilate the rooms regularly—they still contain a lot of moisture, which can damage the door). We have provided more details in the warranty card.
Of course, we never leave a customer in need, and even after the warranty period has expired, our service department will help repair the door. Unlike services provided during the warranty period, post-warranty services are subject to an additional fee.
